Blades of glory

February 16, 2010

Watched the Olympic pairs figure skating last night– for the costumes as much as the skill of the athletes.
It was awesome to see the pair from France–  Yannick Bonheur and Vanessa James– make history as the first black pairs team to ever compete in the Olympics! Can you believe it? I guess I can. The Winter Olympics is sadly not know for its ethnic & racial diversity.

They did look awesome in their blue ombre outfits.
Ombre was a popular look last night, also sported by one of the Canadian pairs.

So, perhaps some inspiration for the rest of us from Olympic figure skating fashion? With these ombre cardigans I think that idea gets a perfect ten!
